It might be worth a try. I really chewed up the ends of my paddle last fall going upstream on a small river that would get shallow and fast in spots, so that I had to pretty much pole on the rocks at times. I was able to sand the ends down and repair easily, but have thought about maybe glassing over a couple inches on the ends.
