: I can comment on Rob Mack?s box beam strong back. He makes two 6 inch square

: adjustable length strongback. Mine is very strong and straight. I pick
: mine up from the end and like a long wheel bar I take it outside to work
: on. The two heavy saw horses are fixed to the beam so the whole unit is
: pretty heavy. When I lift one end and sight down the length I can?t see
: any change or distortion in the straightness of the beam from the leverage
: pressure I put on this beam.

I used the 2x4 as in Nicks book but put braces to the wall and ceiling of the garage I worked in. Once I got 9 strips per side on and dryed, removed the braces.
