It is extra work to deal with. I believe it is worth the effort. Very tough finish.

Goes on as the last coat. Thicker, harder to apply evenly. Harder to sand. Must layout a border (like waterline or less) and mask with tape to prevent runs. Must feather in the high edge that will result. Adds some weight due to the thicker layup.
