: I agree with John. Wood glue as filler does not work since it does not harden
: up the same and is difficult to sand. It will smear and often create a
: bigger mess. Resin with dust is best as it is hard and when the whole boat
: is wetted out, it will disappear better. Glue often shows through as
: lighter shades in those areas. You may not see it now, but it will always
: show through after resin is on whole boat and then it is to late. Other
: wood fillers sometimes do not bond as well and may just pop out of the
: crack. They also tend to shrink a lot when dry which means you will have
: to fill several times.
I used a latex product with latex artist piants to color match the strips. I had used staples and it worked great. I learned the techneque from the wood floor guys.You must sand off all but the stuff that is in the cracks.
