Here is a cheap way to get a rack. I will post a picture next of the homemade gutterless hold down clips that you can make out of 1/16"x3/4" strap steel that someone posted over a year ago telling how to make. I made one proto type until it fit they made three others to match. You can see a bolt goes through it at an angle to snug the rack to the roof. I drove at speeds up to 75 mph and almost 2000 miles and never had a problem, except I did get some leakage from rain where the clips depressed the door rubber. I fastened to the front and back of the boat a rubber tie down strap just to be safe. You could make any wood shape you want to fit your car.
