Fibre-glass???
Possibly cut a hatch sized hole in the bottom, put the piece back in place and put some sort of mold release or plastic over it and glass the hull outside. when that piece/section is cured, pull out the wood plug and fill with resin and or more glass/resin mix. ??? Don't know about distortion in that stuff when layed out that thick. ??
