If you really want to skim on expanse, you can try your local high school or community college. They may have woodworking class. You can enroll, be friends with the shop teacher. They may let you use their equipments. Not only you have the first rated saw, you get the planer, jointer, sander...etc. If you can't, it does not cost you anything to ask.
