I have made several kayaks and wanted the one I am working on to be completely different. I am about 1 month from completing. It comes apart in 3 sections. It has a cup holder, for drinking coffee on those calm morning paddles, and it will have a window in the bottom. I am just about to start on the window. window will be lexan. I have been getting info from those familar with working with lexan. I plan to heat the lexan and form it to the shape of the hull. It will be held in place with screws, a rubber gasket will keep it from leaking. I will re-enfoce the perimiter of the window with 1/4" plywood, similar how the perimiter of flush hatches are back with plywood.
