I'm not sure if you could apply glass over the top of lexan. but I do have experience bonding lexan to fiberglass coated wood. Epoxy does not adhear to lexan at all if it is not roughed up but if you really rough up lexan with 60 grit sand paper and bonded it to wood it looks really good but is not super strong bond. I have done it, so far it has been fine. It is very clear after it is epoxied. I tested it prior to using it on the kayak. I found the bond only had fair strenght, but i could peel the lexan off the fiberglass coated wood at the bond joint if I pried on it with a screw driver. From that test I decided i would not bond the lexan in a structural application
