I hear you, Bro. I'm not as svelt as I used to be, but I still don't have enough padding to diguise a bad seat design. Actually, I find the stock backbands on VCP & NDK boats to be worse than the seats.

You have to remember that Brits aren't happy unless they're uncomfortable. They colonized just about every inhospitable place on the planet and seem to revel in unreliable cars, itchy wool clothing, bland food and kayaks with painful seats. And don't even get me started about bagpipes!
