Right, I built a scarf board using 3/4" plywood at about 7 degrees like Vaclav shows in manual. I made mine 54" wide so I could do a full size sheet, but you really only need 30" or so for a 2' wide, at least for this project. I have done scarf joints before with different setups, this was the easiest jig I have found to use.
I taped both sides with clear packing tape before glueing and it worked pretty well, I was not able to see my mark the first time so missed the allignment some and the joint is a little thick on that one. You can use the scarf jig to glue also.
