Same with my AT17. If you clean up the bevels real good and use wider filament tape, it should hold, with maybe a few stiches as Pygmy recommends. Most importantly, you also need a thin but very strong prying tool to mate the bevels. I used those 4-in. razor scraper blades, but broke a bunch.

The over-wide-deck-mismatch seems to be a common experience on the Pygmies. My theory is it's caused when you turn the deck upside down to reinforce with tape. If you support the deck on horses near the cockpit, the weight of the ends flexes the deck so as to increase its upsweep -- and flare out the sheer panels a little. Comment anyone?
