I made the same mistake on my Great Auk. Fortunately, I caught it when I was marking the first couple of forms to remove the thickness of the form material. When I realized I would be left with a couple of little wood bumps on the side of my forms I knew there was a problem. I quickly recut them in 1/2" ply. Unfortunately, I have not been able to catch everything in the "nick of time".
