I stopped by a friend's house on the way down the bike trail over the weekend. He makes large scale no-kidding jet powered model aircraft...

The $8000 engine, 4 foot wingspan, 30 pound, 270 mph variety. He was glassing up the wings for his latest creation... using 0.6 oz fabric. I felt it and it was like a silk scarf. It does wet out very nicely. Looks beautiful! Pretty wood grain. Then he paints it to look like a jet fighter.

Made me wonder about lighter fabric than the standard 6 oz I used on my first stripper.
