Way to go! Was this a result of lots of calling around to junk yards? I tried around here and bombed out. I went "dumpster diving" in one scrap yard bin and all the tubing they had was much too large a diameter. Never thought to specifically ask for Ham Radio scrap.

Caddo Lake, only natural lake in TX - classic southern swamp/bayou with cyprus trees covered w/spanish moss. To me it looks altogether otherworldly. I was there ~ 1 mo. ago, and the surface of the water was covered with a vibrant green "pond scum" that was comprised of tiny neon green flakes. Not a place to practice a roll, but that just added to the sense that I was in a verry different place.

Back to building, if I can do 2 coats and be fine, then I should just be okay to do that and have a brief maiden voyage on Thursday a.m. of next week and then off to Caddo Lake.
