It seems to me that the time gained is the time to machine strips + striping the hull and deck - the time to and glue the hull and deck.

Using a Kit:
If you fillet over the stiches, then you could have each half of the deck and hull stitched and filleted in 4-6 hours.

Time saved by not Striping:
- Building strong back - 4-6 hours
- Cutting forms - 2 hours
- machining strips - 4-8 hours
- striping hull and deck - 20 - 60 hours.

Thouse times are just my guesses, since you've done it you should know what your times are
