The price for the glue (from memory) was $25 AUD ($12USD) for 25ml (0.8 oz) - Caculate 2 beads along each seam, say 5 seams, 4m boat = 40m of glue bead without calculating for 'fiddely bits' and wastage. I can't remember the bead size I used, but 25ml didn't go far. Maybe the price is better in the States.

I think tape would be more efficent - no spillage etc. Cable ties could leave unsightly lumps (but better than splitting a seam at sea) - I wonder if sewing the seam with polyester thread could give a decent backup - use an awl to make the holes?

What is the 3M product code on the tape you were looking at using?
