I had a similar problem (though with an internal strongback) of spending a good bit of time aligning my forms, only to have them wiggle out of alignment when I screwed them in. I finally switched to my brad nail gun and popped a few nails in to stabilize the forms where I wanted them. I then put a screw or two in for good measure.
