In Response To: Announce: Submersible canoe??? (Malcolm Schweizer)
As I have posted earlier, I bought an Old Town Otter early this spring. I later bought and made real kayaks and was wanting to get rid of the short, heavy, slow Otter.
My 12 year old will not let me. He and his buds love to play with it in the pool as a pool toy. Their favorite game is with it fully submerged. It has enough boyancy that you can paddle it around with the cockpit coaming 10 or 12 inches under water. Unfortunately it is really slow and has no stability, but they think that makes it even more fun.
Kids! But submersible kayaks have been tested before.
