In Response To: GPS Question-Consider This (doug)

My mag 315 has audible alarms. It is nice to have. I use it when I'm getting near a cache that I'm looking for.

It has the following:
Anchor alarm (goes off if your anchor is not holding and you are drifting)
Arrival alarm (when you arrive at a waypoint)
XTE alarm (If you drift sideways too far from your intended path)
Proximity alarm (if you are within a distance of the paypoints you list)
GPS Fix alarm (If you lose your fix)

The distance ones are adjustable.
