Cool.

I spent some time tonight learning how to use my wife's power tools. Turns out I suck pretty bad, but was showing signs of improvement by the time I grew tired. LOL

I want to get at least decent using the tools before I try to attach a piece of maple (or birch? or ???) to the ends of the cedar 2x4 so it works out well enough to be a present.

Haven't decided what would be the best way to laminate it... Butt joint might be the easiest, but I was hoping for some joinery. So far the butt joint looks like my only hope. Maybe my wife needs a biscuit joiner for Christmas? LOL
