What inner strip? I've used the book twice and don't recall seeing any such thing. The fabric is doubled over on the inside, but that's it.

: Also, any suggestions for sources for sprayskirts to fit? I know about the
: brooks but wondering what other options exist.

If you make your coaming a standard size, skirts will be easy to find. I made mine similar in size to a VCP "ocean" cockpit, so skirts that Pintails, Nordkapps, Anas Acutas and others will fit my boats. Truth be told, I did this mainly because I owned a Nordkapp and a Pintail and skirts to fit them.
