Yellowstone NP has implemented some new rules requiring 4-stroke snowmobiles in the Park. Hopefully this will lead to more 4-stroke sled use nationwide.

And since sea lice use the same motors, maybe in 5-6 years, their whine will mostly have gone away.

"Crotch rockets" use lightweight, efficient, powerful 4-strokes, hopefully sleds and jetskis will some day, too. (Granted they're noisy, but not nearly as noisy as an equivalent 2-stroke)

One can hope.
