I too have been tool shopping (tablesaw), and am suffering seriously from Roger's spending frenzy symtoms. After one last trip to Grizzly (today), for another tablesaw comparison, I think I've chosen the JET JWTS-10JF. It's a basic Jet model selling for $550, locally. But man does their rebate program have me thinking. With the purchase of this saw you get either $50 off any JET accessories or $100 off the purchase of another tool. Looking at getting this bandsaw (pic below), but I am really wondering the importance (with the type of work we do)of having a really GOOD bandsaw. Grand total for both tools, including tax: $830, again from a local tool shop. Would you say that a cheap Jet bandsaw would get me by for awhile, until I could afford a really nice one? Or just wait? Or should I just cut up my cards too?
