I know you must be having fun with this project, would you say you get nearly as much gratification as full-sized? You have come to the realization that you won't be able to paddle this one, haven't you?

I have had problems with sanding almost all the way through 1/8" thick strips. Had to cut out the over-sanded areas and re-fill with thicker strips. I honestly think that the experience you get from building these models with such small strips, makes working with full-sized strips seem much easier.

I've always been impressed with your website and your craftsmanship, thanks for the pics and the update.

Are you planning on doing any other tests on this model other than its trim or how it rests on the water? Have you found a test paddler yet?
