There was a story in Fine Woodworking about bandsaws, use a 1/4 bi metal blade and set the tension as tight as you can. Most smaller saws can not pulla 3/4" blade tight. I also have the 80" blade Sears and the good bi metal are hard to find. The now closed local tool store had them, will now have to buy them from sharpening shop that does industrial big stuff in Hawthrone Ca, Anderson Saw
