: Owwwwwww. I ate too much. I barbequed the turkey this year. Used an upright
: smoker with more coals. I stood the bird up on end (cavity down) and did
: it beer butt style. I cut the top off a Fosters can and drank about half.
: To the rest of the beer add some rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, and majoram
: from the garden. Let it cook all day. The beer/herb steaming on the inside
: is the key to a moist bird. I haven't tried frying yet. Seems like a waste
: of oil...
: Can't wait to see how I look in neoprene in January after all this has set
: in. I can hear it now.."hey Mom, is that an elephant seal over
: there?"
: Happy Thanksgiving all

Hi Larry..
My sentiments exactly. Won't have to eat for 3 or 4 days now....
Deep Frying is all the rage out this way... ( Mid-Calif )
It's out of this world, quick and doesn't really use that much oil of you do it right. My little brother has done it, but I'm into smokin' the sucker as you did. Butter/Honey basting over a lower ( wet-hickery ) fire. We've done a few of the beer/butt chicken's so I'm sure that was delicious.
Wishing you and all a wonderful day and rapid recovery!!
