You could also try an alternative glassing material. Check with Rob Macks (Laughing Loon Kayaks). He sold me a 10 ft strip of cloth that's more abrassion resistant ($5). I believe it was polypropelyne. Not sure if he's selling it to anyone! I bought his plans for Panache a few years ago. Sure beats trying to get this type of material from a regular supplier. They want you to buy a minimum piece that usually's gonna set yu back $25+ bucks.
Stuff seems to work well although I haven't abused it yet. The coth is an epoxy SPONGE, so yu need to tape plastic wrap down over it while it cures.
