Plywood is "pre-finished" so the thin 3 and 4mm stuff only gets sanded at the seams to level the epoxy filler. 1/8" strips, on the other hand, may be very difficult to join perfectly, so if there's any sanding/fairing to be done you won't have much deck left to glass. I'd either do a plywood deck or a strip deck. If you want to combine strips and plywood, you might try the 4mm thickness and 3/16" strips together.
