I started looking at WRC in HD and quickly became very frustrated. Lousy wood and worse prices. I asked about WRC at my favorite specialty hardwood store and they pointed me to an old-fashioned lumberyard that supplies the local home-building trade (Brookhart's here in Colorado Springs).
They had a great selection, looong boards (up to 16 feet, HD tops out at 12), and excellent prices. All of the wood was S1S, but that's fine for our use. You're going to wipe out both original sides when you route 'em anyway
Look under Lumber or Building Materials in the yellow pages or stop by a construction site and ask where they get their lumber.
On a related note, I was in the same specialty hardwood store a couple of days ago buying walnut for some Christmas presents I'm making (music boxes for all of the ladies in my life). They had a stack of absolutely gorgeous Spanish cedar that I just couldn't pass up. Completely clear with a consistent dark-brown color that should be beautiful on a boat. I'm thinking spruce (sitka if I can afford it) and walnut for accents, and white pine for the football. I'm not planning to start the next boat until after New Year's, but I left with 4 1"x10"x12's anyway...
