The info on length and placement is in the book. The only strip that I had some trouble with was the deck sheer. There is an especially tight roll as it transitions from the deck forward of the cockpit, through the cockpit area, then almost flat horizontal for the rear deck. Make sure you cut enough half-width strips for the deck sheer and the three or four strips around the curve. It looks like it won't make it, but it works.
