Like everyone else, I have to toss my $0.02 in, too. Get out there and prop up the table, ease off the screws and se what you can fix. Wood will surprise you what it can do. Mistakes happen but a little creative work and no one will notice (I know...YOU will know). Still, why not paint the hull if it's that bad?

You know, after I built my first yak, a gleaming work of art that people would caress and ogle over (and there were some mistakes). I was so bad with it that I had carpets to lay it on, a tub full of accessories to clean and care for it. When I got into it or out of it, I would be in a foot or so water...it was a real pain in the ass...or should I say I was? So the day I plowed up on some rocks and scraped the hell out of it was a real blessing. It looked like sopmeone was planning on planting some corn...so after fixing it up, I was paddling it like it was meant to be; a kayak for fun and adventure.
So fix it, and all of us, and you, too will be even more impressed by it, the Phoenix from the Ashes. It's just another step in the building, and I know it'll look just fine. Besides, you got all of us to help and provide support!
