: I saw somone making small model kayak last month. they looked about the right
: size for my tree. are they for sell? And if so how much?

: Sage

Hi Sage, if these are the ones you're talking about, I'm sorry, but they're not for sale. I've already promised my kids that they can put them on our tree this year.
These things were a blast to make, and it didn't take much time either. I soon realized that I enjoy carving kayaks, especially power carving (grinder and belt sander). There is a good chance, however, soon that the crafts that my wife and I make, will become available, once I get us a small business license and a decent website put together. I've had a business license before, years ago, but didn't make much of an attempt to ever sell anything (I'm not a very good businessman, but would like to support my hobbies/addictions). Most of our crafts we give away as gifts to relatives during the holidays. And we're down to the last couple of weekends to get things wrapped up. Latest projects of mine are wine display boxes made of walnut & spruce and 5 ft. tall copper pinwheel plant stakes. I'd rather be carving 1/4 scale kayaks, but the wife won't let me. :( Sorry I'm rambling....I'll shut up.

Try your hand at making these ornaments, Sage, you may suprise yourself at how much fun it really is. Otherwise, wait 'till next year and I'm sure by then we'll be open for business :)

If you have any questions or comments, send me an email.
