Kent, I think I'll keep it where it measures for me minus an inch. Right now my measurement, with toes pointed is 5 inches longer than his. I also want him to be able to paddle it for a couple of years. I figure I can make the slip on blocks someone just posted.
I know what you mean about the growing. My son is now 5ft 6inches with a size 9 mens shoe. He is 11 years old. He'll probably be kickin my butt by the time he's 12.
Do you paddle this type of boat more flat legged than your stripper? Do your legs get numb? Are your strippers more comfortable?
