Hi Grant:
I wouldn't worry too much about the added weight. However on my first boat I did not know about the use of the squeege. I think using it would save a bit of weight. Fillets? you'll see how big or small they need to be from the angle of the joining parts. End pours? I guess they could add extra weight if they are bigger than necessary, I didn't use one . I just epoxied a tube in for the grab loops.
