Pronounced gil e mot ----in my book anyway.

I've just finished cutting out the forms for the Guillemot "L", but it may be a few days before I get started building. I built a Guillemot single for my wife (Link below) but for me its a little more snug-fitting than I wanted. I had previously thought that I'd increase the width and height of the Guillemot forms just a little but Nicks Guillemot "L" plans filled the bill--and they are nicely done.

You didn't say how much you weighed, but the displacement of the Guillemot is 114 lbs., the Guillemot Expedition is 249 lbs., and the Guillemot "L" is 265 lbs. I'm 6' and weigh in at 250 lbs (only 9-10 shoe size) so I opted for the "L". I can get into the Guillemot but really could use a bigger cockpit. However, I'm a bit over the designed weight capacity. I could make the cockpit bigger but that wouldn't change the designed weight capacity.

Basically, if you've seen a Guillemot you've seen a Guillemot L" -- its just slightly bigger (I think abt 6%).

If you do a search for "Tom Bastiansen" and also for "Scott" you'll find some pics of two very nice Guillemot "L"'s.
