I got one at a local woodworking show a while back, from a Canadian company called Stockroom Supply. They call it a flex adapter. It is about 1/2" thick, soft foam, with hooks on one side and loops on the other, and predrilled with holes for dust collection. You just stick it onto the bottom of your ROS, then stick your sanding disks to the other side.

I tried it for a while, but found that the foam was too soft to get any bite with the abrasive. It didn't seem to be doing anything. I switched back to the curved cabinet scrapers.

: I remember reading comments about ROS attachments that allow better sanding
: on curved surfaces. Some kind of pad that you attach to the place you
: normally put the sandpaper and then you attach the sandpaper to it. I've
: looked in a few hardware stores but not had any success finding anything.

: Does anyone know what these things are called and where you can get them? I
: have a Makita ROS that takes 5 inch 8 hole hook and loop sandpaper.
