Just got the info back from Thomas Gotchy at Dyson, Baidarka & Co.

He made contact with George Dyson, away on a leave of absense, and after seeing the new price being offered from their supplier, they have canceled any and all orders for the 9oz. Dacron cloth.

He said that their price would not even be competitive and therefore he decided not to sell this weight/style cloth any more.

O.K., my question would now be:

What cloth would be the "next best" material to order, directed at those that have used either... ???

Their next two materials in weigh are: ( from Dyson )

12 oz. Nylon & 13 oz. Polyester

Any input would be appreciated. I'm not concerned with the weight issue as the difference in a boat that uses 6 yrds or so will not even be noticable.
Which will be better stretching/shrinking and finishing ??
