Hi Elliott,

You really don't want to have the masik stick up to high or you will find fit to be to sloppy for rolling. My first SOF had the brace about two inches above the gunnels. I lowered the second one just a little. If I remember correct the dimension from the bottom of the keel to the bottom of the masik on the new one is a little over 7 inches.
