Hi All,
You people are the greatest source of info and inspiration. I just hope I will have kept up come spring and my FIRST kayak is hopefully ready for the water.
The forms are cut, strongback is ready, and yesterday I started cutting my strips. I still have a couple of boards to finish and then B&C the stack.
I don't have the forms on the strongback yet as I have to get the big woodworking out of the way first. My tablesaw is where the boat will go! I did set them up to see how it would look: IT LOOKS LIKE A KAYAK.
I am going to try and take pictures along the way, and if I don't screw up construction too badly I will post them.
Thanks for all your previous advice(mostly lurking).
Andrew
ps if I get lucky come March I may have two kayaks. The local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society has a Northern Star baidairka made by a local dentist(nice looking boat!!!) as first prize in their winter fund raiser.
