But Shawn, won't the sanded glass show up even after applying new glass? I would think he should fill in the entire area with epoxy by applying several coats, then sand down to the glass, but not into it. Sanding into the glass gives it those sparkles we all hate to see in our finish.

It would be different if the glass was damaged and had to be sanded out.
