Any burning candle is a fire hazard.

Hey Bret,
Nice job on the carved kayak candle holder, I'm sure they will love it, but for the record, I should warn you that these items could be a fire hazard. Then again, ANY burning candle is a fire hazard. The only reason I drilled out the cockpit to hold a candle was because my wife did not like me carving kayaks which would serve absolutely no purpose (in her eyes). I personally think they look pretty cool, and that was enough purpose for me to make them. And we will burn ours, just not unattended, similar to any other candle burning in our house. The bonus is, they're fun to make and carving is good therapy (for me anyway). Just be sure to warn them of the risk of fire, if left unattended.
