Strip: Removing Hot Melt Glue *LINK* *Pic*

I知 stripping my deck without using staples. I知 doing it with clamps and using hot melt glue to keep the strips fastened to the forms. I plan to only use the hot melt glue where I think it is necessary
After the deck is glassed, I will have to remove the deck from the forms, and want to avoid tearing away cedar in the process. I知 thinking I could slip a saw blade under the deck and cut away the hot melt glue. Has anyone done it this way?
