I agree! I recently ordered a package from the US valued at 50US$ and UPS charged 50CDN$ The majority of which is brokerage fees.

I usually request shipments through regular parcel post, then all you pay is shipping, and GST. Many US suppliers will only ship UPS to Canada though.

I ordered a 6 gallon kit from RAKA, and it was well worth it.
