: I'm about half way through stripping two kayaks, a Great Auk and a 14' Great

: I was trying to decide if I should use: 1) System Three Clear Coat to wet the
: fiberglass and fill the weave, or
: 2) System Three Clear Coat to wet the fiberglass and System Three with a #2
: hardner to fill the weave, or
: 3) Just use the System Three with a #2 hardner to wet and fill the weave

: Any advice from those who have used it before would be much appreciated.

Attempting to fill the weave with the clear coat will take a lot of extra time. I would use the Clear Coat to wet the fiberglass and do a satureation coat only, and even that may be overkill. using #2 hardener will probably be sufficient.

I used #2 hardener for my wet-out coat, and some #1 (fast) hardener for the fill coats, but that was only becuase I had some left over from a previous project.

the Clear coat has a much longer gell time than the #2 hardener, and has much more of a smell.
