Except for one voice the general consensus is that the 3.25 plus slow epoxy is pretty good stuff.

I am soon to start the S&G Cirrus. In his manual Vaclav suggests 6 oz glass on the hull plus a layer of 4oz on the outside below the chines as added protection. After following Jim Kozel's glowing reports of System 3 LPU (clear) here is what I am thinking about this morning:

Raka slow epoxy. Raka 3.25 oz tight weave inside and out of both the hull and deck. A 2nd layer of Raka 3.25oz on the outside of the hull below the chines as added protection. The entire outside would be coated in System 3 LPU which according to Jim Kozel provides much more protection than varnish.

At the end of the day would I have similar if not better protection and strength to the methodology proposed by Vaclav?
