My first kayak,Gu 17,My son and I mounted a Ritche twist mount Kayak model on a split mounting with the electric pump discharge under. Reads great but once a 5 foot lipped wave took it and every thing else off the deck, it floats. I may not
have locked it right. I have been the surf other times no problemo. We are going
to make an above and below deck block for the V.65 Ritche bulkhead mount in the AT 17.Both compasses have the same 2.75" card. I have been with boats for 33 years and have never seen a bad Ritche product.
