Strip: Question for Night Heron Builders

Hi-
I'm about to start building a Night Heron - I'm looking for comments from anyone who has built it with the low front deck/normal rear deck option. How did it turn out? It strikes me that using this combination of decks might avoid some of the bending problems near the cockpit I read about in earlier posts. My feet are size 9 so I don't think that'll be a problem.
