Maybe. But you also want to avoid the sport of rebuilding your deck.

Reading between the lines on this board, you get the distinct impression that CLC decks were prone to cracking when built per original instrux. But the consensus also seems to be that if you create a sufficient glass/epoxy structure, most any plywood will do to fill in the middle. I'd add a few carbon fiber arches at likely stress points if it were my yak, though.
