Finally got started on my first SOF and have completed the deck and I have to say that this has been one of the most rewarding and fullfilling experiences of my life. I can now understand why you people get hooked on these things.Anyway, as I said, here is the deck. I am soaking my rib stock and hope to start on the hull in a day or two. This is not like the Greenland boats so prevailent on the bulliten board, with more than twice as many deckbeams and and about 6 more feet of gunwale length, but I said what the hey and jumped into it as I got tired of waiting for my books on the Greenland boats when I found this one on arctickayaks site. I think it is a good looking boat.I'll keep you posted.
I am going to have to post pics as individual posts.
